Overall, i like it; i like the fact it's not just dependent upon electricity, so this may be something i will bring abroad with me to warmer climes. so i'll start off with cons as there are a few; some of which lead into the pros:Cons:It doesn't come with a battery as stated; but unlike the advert states, you cannot get these sized batteries in the local supermarket. you have to look online for these and i found mine on ebay which came with a charger. might set you back about £7 but it is worth it.It drinks like a fish especially on max power: needs refilling frequently. careful when filling it to the top as it can overspillIt is not waterproof: do not tip it upside down whilst there is water in them.. it will spill out! so if and when you need to change the battery, make sure it's empty first.it can be difficult and costly to get another filter; maybe the supplier could point customers as to where we can find it without too much hassle.Pros:Like the fact it is portable. Once the battery is charged up and installed it works very well!the low fan setting seems to keep the fan from draining too quickly, but also provides for me the right amount of cooling down when i need it.i like that you get a pipette to add your scent to the diffuser box. i tend to mix a few drops of oil with water and it does the trick.usb lead works a treat i've plugged it in most things and it works fine.Filter is easy to install and take out.Unsure of:Noticed that when on a battery it has a "fail safe" for want of a better word. it stops when the water runs out, unlike when it's on the usb lead.. it keeps on goinghaven't really tested the sterilising function yet.haven't put ice in it yet, but apparently there's an icebag that can be gotten with this! only found that out whilst searching for batteries for the machine..

Bought this from my desk while I'm working at home. There is only one speed and it makes a high pitch squeal when it's on. Not idea when you are doing Skype meetings.m

works wonders on the humid days

Good at first but quickly stopped working.

This was given a baptism of fire really on the hottest day of the year in around 38° temps. And it struggled against that, but it did blow out cooler air than a standard fan.It made a difference when I went to bed and placed it fairly close and filled it with chilled water. It needed topping up a couple of times as the water evaporates quite quickly in such high heat. But it certainly made me more comfortable.When the heat dropped a bit it really came into its own, blowing out seriously chilled air. The water tank didn't need topping up either.It is not as powerful as an aircon unit, but it is more effective than a standard fan, and in close proximity it does a great job.

The item is made badly. The air cooling does work - but only if you sit directly in front of it. It is not powerful enough to cool down a room, as it claims to. The diffuser part is tiny - so you need to keep refilling it very often. The plastic it was made of is so thin and cheap, it broke after a third use. WASTE OF MONEY

In this heat with a west facing living room I am so glad I invested in this.Today I have had to raise it and direct it directly at me as it didn't have a hope in the heat of my 'greenhouse' living room.It is small, silent, easy to set up and a useful addition to fight this heat.Don't expect this to cool a room but to direct cool air at you it is a blessing. I move it between my office and living room.
