My daughter lost her beloved pup and wanted to get something to keep her close. I will say this is a very sturdy piece and it performs as you would expect it to. If you have never dealt with cremated remains (like us) well do not be surprise that it is a little difficult to get it filled. The reason.. remains are not sand there are some larger chunks that will make it hard. It also does not go through here exactly like sand for the same reason. This is at not fault of the design. Just be patient and it will work out. Do not let this scare or deter you, it is a great keepsake for your loved one. People do notice it, and say cool necklace.. they are a little put off when she tells them what is inside. She never takes this off, so for me it was well worth it.

Great quality for the price and doesn’t look cheap, I’m not worried about it breaking at all! And glued in the top for added security. I love having my grandmother with me!! Thank you!!

This is a beautiful piece of jewelry for a memorial of a loved one. It's gorgeous! Great size, wouldn't accidentally open so that the remains would fall out or anything like that. In fact, the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the hole is so very small that it's nearly impossible to get any ashes in to the vial!! I sometimes roll my eyes at reviews because descriptions seem to be over exaggerated. But even with the little funnel and pin that come with it, the grains must be the tiniest amount at a time. If it's over filled, it clogs and using the pin is hopeless and what is in the neck of the funnel has to be emptied out and start over. It feels like it has to be filled one grain at a time.In spite of that, I will buy others for my daughters as a memorial to my mother.

Made cheap the bars around the glass come off they are not even glued in the holes almost lost my grandmas ashes do not buy

Just got the ashes in today for the necklace, i put them in and went to screw the lid back on and the little poles on side broke.

I really like the concept of this urn necklace, the reality is that if you want to be able to move the ashes from one end to the other, you are going to have to finely sift the ashes with some kind of fine mesh. With the one we bought we didn't know that and it doesn't flow freely.

A little challenging to get filled with ashes even with the funnel. The metal stick that comes with it works to force it through into the bottom part, and also works great for applying a small bit of glue to seal it after filling. While it hasn't broken, I'm going to get a little more heavy duty chain too. The hourglass itself looks very nice and feels solid.

Haven’t even had it a week and it broke apart with my grandfathers ashes in it. Like are you serious?!
