We ordered this for our daughters 18 inch American Girl doll we turned into the 11th Dr. Perfect size for the doll and so is the book. Even if we were not doing them for the dolls the set is awesome.

I assumed when it said kit, that the reason it is so cheap was because you had to assemble it yourself, this is not so, it's not actual size, less like a toy sonic screwdriver, and more like a sonic screwdriver Keychain, but without the keychain, it did come with a neat little 50 page tiny book, which manages to successfully condense a good deal of the whoniverse, so if you know someone who is trying to get into Dr. Who, but is not used to watching science fiction or something, and is having trouble following what's going on, I suppose this book might be good for them.

I ordered one of these for myself and one for my niece. I knew for the price something was likely hinky. So I was not surprised when I received a tiny box with an equally tiny book and a replica Sonic that is the same size as the mini 11th doctors sonic torch/flashlight key chain I own. Nearly the exact same thing minus that this one has the oscillators ( so spelled that wrong) in the open position and has sound. Bottom Line I love 11 so I love the sonic. I just wish Id processed that it was so small and could have bought my niece that actual big toy 11th sonic. Rather than having her wait for months only to now have to tell her, hey sweetie its kind of like the size of a cracker jack prize.

I was so excited when I bought this. The 11th Doctor's sonic screwdriver and a book for only $8?! And then it arrived. I am so disappointed! I expected it to be much bigger!! The screwdriver is about as big as my finger and the book is smaller! I don't know whether to keep it or send it back.
