Purchased it in 2017 for our dogs to use as a potty mat on concrete, after a pest control company mistakenly treated our lawn. After the lawn was safe we gave it a good sanitizing and found the dogs enjoyed sunbathing on it, so it stayed.It spent 2 years in SoCal sun and was still going strong, so it moved to Georgia with us and found a home on an outdoor deck at the entrance to a screened porch. We live on a massive farm deep in the woods, which brings tons of dirt, sand from loamy soil, and infamous red clay. We quickly discovered that this little rug keeps my screened porch much cleaner and the dogs still love laying on it.As for cleaning it - I will admit that an ankle surgery deck had me fall almost 8 months behind on a number of things and keeping the rug clean was one of them. The dirt had become so embedded that the previously lush, thick weave was completely compacted and a water hose could not get it clean, which saddened me, but it still kept the dirt down, so it stayed.Last week my SO showed up with a dinky electro pressure washer (which actually works amazingly and saves me from dragging out the gas powered one for little, light jobs) and yesterday I tried it on the turf. It rinsed out so much dirt, the fibers freed up and there was ZERO loss of material, NO fraying of edges, no tearing or breaking down.It LOOKS BRAND NEW AGAIN! I forgot how lush, soft, and thick it was!I decided to search my order history and see when we bought it and was DUMBFOUNDED that we have owned it for 4 years! That is 2 years of dry, brutal sun and another two of rough use through 4-season (sans snow, but lots of cold, wet freezing) weather!I am so impressed that I decided to review it, also something I don’t often do. But a short novella later, here’s the TLDR -If you’re debating on ordering this fake turf - just do it!! Provided the process and materials haven’t changed, you will be happy!I am brutally hard on things, as are four dogs, a mini horse (yes, he lays on it also), my SO, and farm life. This little piece of turf has exceeded my expectations. Well worth the money.

I think this product solved my problem, which was dog urine killing grass at the bottom of steps to the back yard. It looks good and getting the heavier rubber backing seems to be a good decision. My only concern - and it wasn't a big deal - is the 8' x 5' piece comes in a roll that is very compressed to ship. It just makes it a little more difficult to flatten our the interior roll since it is so tightly compressed.

This product is AMAZING! Each mat I ordered came in its own thick roll. Transporting to my yard from the front porch was manageable for a 5'2 woman. Came super fast, as expected. Shipped in durable thick plastic. Sizing was accurate. I ordered 3 of the 5x8 (w/ one having a slight color variation in comparison to the other mats) & 1 of the 2x8 that I cut to size using my hefty garden snips. Cutting was a straightforward process, but tedious. I put down some regular weed barrier & put the mats over top. Rain has not been an issue. I use an outdoor stiff bristle broom to keep it clean from debris. It will warm up in direct sunlight, but my kids love when that happens. THIS STUFF IS CUSHIONY SOFT...NO LIE. My toddler left dark blue crayons outside and it melted into the grass. I was too lazy to try to scrub it out, now it just adds character. Everything else washes right off with water and rag.

LOVE this fake grass! I wanted something fairly realistic that wasn’t outrageously expensive and this turned out to be perfect. When it arrived it was rolled and kinda matted down, I set my kiddos to petting it like a sequin pillow and in no time they had the blades fluffed up and it has stayed fluffed ever since. I bought it to use as a seasonal foundation of my science table in preschool and its been a HUGE hit. (I cut it with regular scissors, it wasn’t hard but it was like cutting thru heavy cardboard, persistance wins!) Our themes run for two weeks each and I was able to use it for Insects, Easter, Spring, and Dinosaurs—Eight weeks of awesomeness that I’ll reuse year after year. I’ll share a picture from dinosaur week as my other pictures have kiddos in them. One of the most fun things we did was sprinkle the tiny alphabet beads from Dolar Tree thru the grass like confetti, the kids had to dig thru the grass to find letters to spell the science words. I have a 2x4 remnant left over I’m thinking of using as a doormat on my back porch, I think it’ll add a whimsical shot of color back there :)

We fenced in an area for our pup to do her business. She’s been raised on a 4’x6’ piece of PZG that has lasted 5 years and she needed more room. I have power washed and rinse it about 2 times a month weather permitting and it still holds up. It’s so easy to clean and she loves it!

I got the first one to try it out for my concrete backyard. My 65lb GSD LOVES this thing. She lays on it when it's in the sun, and will run her toys and chewies all over it, without it getting (too) messed up (have to lay it back down if she tries to dig). It brings a nicer look to my bland back yard, so I bought three more for a complete square, and LOVE it. Helps give my backyard a more finished look.

Nice on the feet and perfect for my use which is for a large potty area on my deck during rain and cold days. One edge does shed a lot but it looks like this was the side that was cut to make the size of the patch that was sold. The shedding got it 4 stars but the shedding does not bother me for my purposes.

My dogs started using this after a couple of days. It does drain, but you will have to use a cleaning solution on it because it will start to smell after a week or so. I gave it 4/5 stars because it works, it drains, but does require maintenance to keep the smell away.
