Wow...
I've only just recently listened to this album, picked up for a cheap price here on amazon. I ignored the reviews on here, and decided that I was just going to give this a listen anyways, and besides it will be a nice, rare addition to my Psychopathic collection.Sadly, the critical reviews about this album are true. Every song sounds the same, and the formula to the songs rarely change if at all. Honestly, I got to the 9th track and pressed stop on my CD player. It was a weekend night, and this wasn't what I was feeling. I still have not listened to the last six songs on this album. Probably won't. Too bad, the idea of this super group made of Insane Clown Posse, Lavel and Esham sounded like a cool idea. It was just poorly executed.Anyone who has read my reviews knows that I'm a long time Juggalo, but that doesn't mean I'm going to blindly love everything Psychopathic puts out. If it sucks, I'm going to say so. If it's average, I'll say so. But this one just plain old sucks. It gets 2 stars because of the rare find it is. But that's all.

Very inconsistent and poorly made
The Soopa Villainz first album was their only album was for a reason. What could have been a great concept ended up being extremely inconsistent and poorly made. Most of the beats sound nearly identical. All the chorus's are just Shaggy 2 Dope screaming the name of the song. The rhymes are generally fast and mediocre. What this album really needed was a couple skits to put more into the story instead of just random tracks about blowing things up. I will say that Shaggy 2 Dope's scratching was excellent.Individual Song Rankings1. Intro - (N/A)2. To the Rescue - (A)3. Furious - (B+)4. Mr. Club - (C+)5. The Van - (A-)6. Guided Missiles - (D)7. "Soopa soopa ninjas whut"
For starters i can see where everyone with resentment of this project is comin from, i used to be anti-hatchet, couple years later, the joker cards, twiztid, abk, well let me put it like this...Drive-by is about to drop with them chronicles, in other words im runnin wit the hatchet...everyone dissin this cd is full of soopa s**t, and yall juggahoes. Although im not that big on Lavel's part, whut we have is a cd attacking the industry. The SoopaVillainz are here and for starters Mr.Heart represents the wicked version of the R&B invasion on rap (ja rule, 50 cent, etc.) Esham belonds on the hatchet, he is the epitome of wicked s**t. Mr. Diamond is the wicked version of master p, he uses bling as his weapon, not his punch line. Mr.Spade is the mos def of the wickedness, not a highlight but makes his point. Mr.Club is the wicked mixtape game killin his cuts, im a producer, the boy got skill. All in all they've assembled a moch-up of the commercial rap sterotypes and together they take the world into chaos, or rather set the stage for wicked s**t to take center stage...except much like one the superheorz have said "We aint underground by mistake/only a few can handle this wicked s**t". These villainz are what icp, sham, and vel were a time ago, tryin to make an impact in a market unready...but when the heroz show, all will be restored.

Hector Rico Is crazy! He has no idea what he is talking about!
Soopa Villainz is a great album. You cannot blame these guys for doing something new and exciting. They are keeping things fresh and new. If you heard another bunch of albums that sounded the same you would get bored of them. Lavel is from the Krazy Klan. He used to rap with Native Funk in a two person rap group. Native Funk became ABK and he is now Lavel. Lavel put out albums on long range ditributing. He is known as Detroits craziest "Mental Patient". He is awesome and it is great to see him join Psychopathic. Soopa heroes is due out next. It is the rival to Soopa Villainz. It consists of Jamie Madrox, Paul Monoxide, ABK, and Blaze. I cannot wait, the war is about to start. Oh an by the way Hector... Mutant was NOT a heavy metal album! If you had listened to it it was actually mostly rap. They had about every other track as a rock song just like they did on Freak Show. It is in my opinion better than Mans Myth. I loved Stardust. But Soopa Villainz is a great offering and allot of people love the new sound. This group is going to go far. Cannot wait to hear Soopa Heroes! I hope this helped educate you on the roots of Lavel and if you are not a fan of Psychopathic records you should still check this out.

waiting for the heroes
with the clowns esham and lavel involved this should be pretty good and yes it delivers and then somewhat they have done is made a much more compact album that feels quite frantic in comparison to their other worksthe beats flow the aggression is again feeling higher than beforeeverybody involved does a very good job in their chosen area but for me esham tears it up the bestthe songs feel simplified in comparison to their other work and just adds to the relentless pace of the albumif you like the clowns this is definitely worth a look

Excellent !
