Q: whats the difference between crumbles & nibbles?

Nibles are a bit smaller than Crumbles and are more appropriate for finches and canaries, or even budgies that like smaller bits of food.

No. This is low in fat which is why it's so healthy. Millet has a lot of fat in it. I would consult a vet though. Gaining weight is not normal. Hope this helps.

It is an extremely healthy diet, but if your bird is used to something else, you should mix the 2 diets together to slowly introduce the new, and give less and less of the old diet over a week or so. Also, for cockatiel you should feed the "crumble" size pellets so he can eat it easier. Their beaks can't break up the bigger pellets.

Q: Packaging problems on my last bag has anyone received a bag in a padded envelope and crushed pellets (dust)?

Yes we also have issues with the shipping/handling of the product and have ended up with a lot of crushed/dust. We had to put the contents through a fine sifter to get it out. They don't seem to know how to cushion the bags properly when shipping.
