Great Read but a bit short,,,
Morbed is a pretty short story. Not that it seemed cut off or anything or prematurely ended. But the possibilities of this book seemed to be really dashed in the limited space of the story. But for just a couple of dollars the work is certainly worth the price of admission. Probably only a big fan of Diablo 3 would be interested in this book. Which is good because the types of characters that the author chose certainly will make any fan of the series smile. The possibilities that were evident in the first few pages are certainly never really fulfilled throughout the work. I would have really loved to see a full descent work about a necromancer, druid, crusader, and thief. I was incredibly excited until things started to splinter around half way through. But again, it was certainly enough bang for the buck.

Great Characters, Awesome Atmosphere, Class Spells At Their Best!
I really enjoyed this short story, mostly because of it's 'fantasy-to-dark-fantasy' atmosphere, but also because of the individual characters and their beliefs. While all the characters have their own way of seeing the world and life, they amazingly work together to achieve greater goals.Although quite sad and mournful in one particular section of the book, it clearly shows how one's character can reveal it's true form when facing life-threatening situation.Throught the book you will most certainly enjoy 'classic' class spells as we know them from Diablo I and II.(hint: I bet you do miss 'Raise skeletons' in Diablo 3 Game ;))Definitely worth your time and money. For $1.99 it's a steal. Go check it out!

A good short story
This was a good short story, but Morbed is powerless and despicable. While the story needs him that way so he can find redemption, I think I would have preferred a more traditional story. Something where he finds his courage instead of betraying his friends. A good one time read, but I would not read any other stories because I disliked this character. Plus, I wanted to learn more about the other characters, but they were killed off too quickly for my taste.

Worth a read
If you like fantasy, this should appeal. It is a little slow getting going for a short story but ends very well and leaves you expecting more stories for this character. While it is a Diablo 3 novel, it really has little to do with the game. If you haven't played the game or if you have but did not enjoy it, that should not affect your enjoying this story. What I personally really liked about the story, was that the main character was not your stereotypical selfless brave hero but rather an unabashed survivor who openly admits to saving his own skin first and foremost.

A good quick read.
For its length, Morbed kept you captivated as the protagonist struggled to come to terms with how to become righteous. Neilson's writing starts the novella off quickly and doesn't stop until the climactic ending.Ideal length to read at the beach or during commercial breaks. Definitely worth the small price tag.

Short, but worth the read for Diablo Lovers
The book is quite short and character development is a tad...lacking. Overall, this is a solid read that kept me interested. Good for those who are into the Diablo-based books. Definitely buy and read the other books first, they are far more developed.

Excellent atmosphere.
After many years of reading Diablo-related fiction, I think this one hits the closest to the themes and atmosphere of the franchise. Morbed has interesting characters, a great core premise, and strong internal consistency. For Diablo fans, it's definitely worth a read.

Enjoyable short read
Enjoyable short read. Would probably be even better as a graphic novel. Character driven, in spite of its short length. Good life lesson about facing your fear.
