Definitely not authentic, nice piece but u can tell its not obsidian.. U can tell it was casted from a mold and not carved..

I love this pendant. It is absolutely beautiful. Perfectly described by the seller and I received it in two days. I am a firm believer in the power of crystals. Black Obsidian is perfect for protection against negative energies. I work around the public and I am constantly bombarded by energies from people. This will protect me from any negative energy that people give off. It is well worth the price and I highly recommend it.

Upon receiving this package, my major concern was confirmed valid. This seller is being somewhat deceptive. The ONLY part of this piece that’s real Obsidian stone, is the very small ball on top of the hexagram. The black hexagram is NOT Obsidian. Real Obsidian has a translucency. This is why I tried canceling before they shipped it.

I really love this necklace. It makes me feel safe and protected, but read up on black obsidian because it can bring up your issues. Be prepared if you are looking to do some inner work on yourself.

The rope is fine, the obsidian isn’t real, it’s just dark brown tinted plastic pretty much.

Not an obsidian, but a black piece of plastic. Good work on making it appear like a rock though. Got some skills there.

This wasn't the first time I saw this necklace, but they lead me straight to it here on Amazon when I felt the pull to search for a protective stone. Obsidian wards away negativity, perfect for what I was needing after Spirit called me to Tarot reading. This is a beautiful necklace. High quality. I've had it on since the moment it arrived. I don't ever take it off. The string is still in tact. I love it.EDIT: The very next day the string broke. Lol. Luckily I had another necklace to put this on. Don't count on the string. Still 5/5 stars though because the price is amazing, the shipping is Prime, and I feel safe with it. :)

I'm not sure if it is a real Obsidian stone or if it is regular glass, but it is highly polished and substantial. Very pretty with a nice weight to it. Impossible to get finger prints off it. My only complaint is the "rope" necklace..it is a STRING, not a necklace so you might want to start looking for a necklace or chain now. The hole looks really too small to get a chain through, so I would just leave that part of the string on it (since the string is tied and thicker around the stone than the other parts of it). Not saying that it has any special properties, but I do feel better wearing it than not. It is well worth the money!
