Excellent Steampunk/Dieselpunk Costume Goggles!
I needed some goggles that fit the Steampunk look in a hurry for a costume for MisCon (of course I waited until the last possible second to complete my costume, no fun doing it ahead of time ;) ). These fit the bill quite well! They're not really meant for wearing as actual goggles, just for looks and they do a quite good job at that. Body of the goggles and primary lenses are plastic, the smaller focal lenses I believe are also plastic (uncertain). The only metal components are the pipe clamp around the right lense, the small clamp attached to that (to which the post for the focal lenses is attached), frames for the focal lenses, and lastly; the small metal ball chain that links the two primary lenses together (this is covered by a piece of what appears to be wire sheathing for aesthetic purposes. The strap is adjustable and can be adjusted to fit quite well if you choose to wear them on your face like real goggles, however, they are not very comfortable this way so I would not recommend doing so. They can be adjusted to fit almost any size head or hat snugly and stay in place quite well for most hats (I used them with a pith helmet so I did have to pin the straps in a couple spots to keep them from sliding up the slightly sloped surface but that is a rather unusual piece of headgear to use them with). Not something you want to wear for safety, dust, or other purposes; if you want real goggles you'll need to pay for real goggles. But, if you want something to complete a Steampunk or Dieselpunk costume without breaking the budget, these will fit the bill nicely! See attached photo for my usage of them.

Not Vented So They Will Steam Up on Your Eyes, These Work Great as Headgear Goggles
What's a Steampunk Costume without some wickedly awesome Goggles? The UmbrellaLaboratory Steampunk Goggles feel heavyweight, are exceptionally detailed, and look so visually awesome. The goggles are definitely a pair of goggles you would wear around your head or neck - the eyepieces are made of hard plastic so they won't stay on your face comfortably for long periods of time, and the goggles themselves are not vented so even if you were to wear them for a long time, your eyeballs will cause the lenses to fog after some time. My intention was to wear these goggles on my head, so this wasn't a big issue to me - but I was able to wear them for short periods of time for photos with no ill effect. The goggles also have too magnifying lenses on them that serve nothing more than for decorative purposes. If you're willing to move your head very up close to the item you're looking at, I can honestly say that the magnifying glasses do work. That said, you will need to be at least 4" away from the item you're looking at - but hey, working magnifying glasses! Overall, these are a really fun pair of goggles to complete your steampunk look. They have a nice heft to them, and look really cool. I wore them to work for fun and got a lot of compliments on them!

Cute, But Cheap Quality
The goggles were lower quality than I expected. The base is actually the same cheap plastic goggles that you can find at a Halloween store for about $5. The movable small lenses were a nice touch, but I'm not sure that they make the goggles worth this much more. While I would have kept these in a pinch, an error through Amazon (not the seller's fault) caused them to show up too late for the convention I attended, so I will be returning them.

Steampunk Goggles
Awesome set of goggles for any steampunk outfit. Have a nice weight to them without being too heavy to the point they hurt. You can wear them on your eyes, but I do suggest using Fog Off or some dish soap to stop the lenses from fogging on you.Two things to note is that they set of magnifying lenses attached are very loosely held on by a rubber clamp and easily fall off. So take caution when removing your goggles as to not knock them off. Second thing is that the lenses are comprised of two pieces of glass, not one, pressed together and will fall out if you unscrew the front of the goggles. Make sure you clean all the water or anything else off the lenses before pressing them back together, or they'll look pretty nasty.

So Much Cooler Than Expected
They were great for the costume I was putting together. They were well worth the extra money compared to the cheap ones I could have bought, and everyone else can tell the difference too. So many people have asked me where I got these goggles, and yes all the lenses really work. The two smaller ones are working magnifying glasses, and the main lenses of the goggles feel like they are real glass and not just cheap clear plastic. So worth it. If anyone is looking to put together anything remotely steampunk style and can spare the extra $5 or $10 it was to get these they really should. The nose piece was a little wide but my brother was able to fix that easily, and the band is adjustable so it should be able to fit all kinds of heads, or even hat.

Bad Reviews were WRONG
Ok. I read the reviews after I bought this product, so my hopes fell before I recieved this item. I have to say, some of the reviews are just downright WRONG. This product is of high quality for the kind it is, and seems durable. People have said that the lenses are made of plastic, but I believe it to be glass. The magnification lenses, at first I believed didnt work, but they work perfectly. One just needs to hold the item very close to the lenses. But they DO work. I just tried it. Overall, much much higher quality than the reviews give it credit.

These are a great find! And they came very fast
These are a great find! And they came very fast, two days sooner than the earliest estimated time! Some people described them as being made of "metal" They are not entirely made of metal, but metal and think plastic, but frankly when you feel how heavy they are you will be happy. They have a nice weight to them, they don't feel or look like junk at all when you have them, definitely worth the price. I wore them on my head all night for a Halloween party and the weight only bothered me a little near the end. The tiny magnify glasses clip on and off easily depending on the look you want.
