Outon Set of 8 Placemats
We just bought a new table and wanted some nice looking mats to use for more special occasions and the Outon mats looked very nice. My partner wants a black table cloth and I thought the silver mats would make a very nice contrast.The mats themselves are a 2 tone silver colour and really do look great. They measure approximately 45cm x 31cm, making them a good size, even for larger plates and they are made from woven vinyl.The set includes 8 place mats (2 more than many of the sets I looked at), which is very nice, as it means I can always use the spare 2 to place serving dishes on, in the centre of the table.***** Conclusion *****I think the Outon place mats offer great value for money and look awesome.Being made from vinyl, means they should be fairly easy to clean by placing them in some warm water and giving them a slight rub over with a dish brush.When I opened them, they were slightly curly from being rolled up. This was quickly fixed by placing them in a bowl of warm water, laying them flat and letting them dry.All in all, I’m very happy with mats and have no complaints..

Looks good but doesn't protect the tablecloth underneath
The product looks good and cleans well, but doesn't protect the tablecloth underneath. The weave pattern of the product means that 'sauce' from meals falls through the mat. I bought to protect an expensive tablecloth but the tomato sauce from my child's plate soaked through the mat and stained the tablecloth.

Great mats
Love these mats, go with everything. Wipe down but occasionally need soaking of food gets trapped in the weave. Only negative is they come folded so I hate to lay under a weighted item for a few days before I could use them.

Lightweight and smart
I loved that these were lightweight. I am giving all my heavy placemats to the charity shop. These mats look so nice and I am very pleased. The fact that there are 8 of them is a bonus as I didn’t have to buy two packs.

Cute
They’re nice, cute mats. Only problem, they’re quite hard ro clean. Have had a tomato sauce stain for couples of months and it just won’t go away!

Good
We have had these a while now they do what they are supposed to can take heat and most of all can we wiped. Just make sure you wipe under as well as it is fine mesh and goes through to the table if it is liquid
