Trading E-mini Stock Index Futures

Terrible. Filled with candlestick patterns without context i.e. identifying the type of the market.
Without identifying the type of the market, breakout(up/down), up trending, down-trending (channels) or trading range(sideways) the Japanese candlesticks have no meaning. Read some books on price action trading and you will clearly see that this book is garbage. The book is a large type and filled with false claims. Clearly, if you just follow the book without other guidance none of the claims will be materialized.

Very informative!
Despite the negative reviews, I bought this book and couldn't be happier! I am a seasoned options trader of many strategies but I prefer credit spreads including iron condors. I employ a rather mechanical approach to my trading and enjoyed Dennis Anderson's discussion of the same technical approach to futures. I like his start slow and small philosophy - I learned it the hard way with options. Trust that I won'd have to learn it going forward with futures! Thanks, Dennis, great book!

Broken down
This is an excellent cut down informational text guiding knowledge to the individual in concise format that enlists that individual to process and utilize to their own understanding. This guide does not infer that one should do this in this order but rather, puts in script the nature and information forward without the garble and harassment that you are doing it wrong.

Outstanding!
Highly recommend for a serious retailer trader interested in the equity e-mini futures ES, NQ, YM and RTY. Author teaches two trend following methods based on common indicators available in any charting package. The first one is for short term daily trades and the second one for those without much time to watch the market. I independently developed a trading method somewhat similar to the author's first short term system around March 2029, which has been my best trading month so far and reasonably profitable. Therefore the author's claims seem credible. Also loaded with very sound advice to help one get started in or have a better journey with e-mini trading. Note that this book came out before the CME micro products came into existence in summer 2019 and any newbie should start with these, after some paper trading of course

Great book!
I bought this book so that I could work from home and make enough money to send the last 2 kids to college and add to our retirement nest egg. The author is extremely knowledgeable on the subject of trading e-mini's and effectively gives the reader everything needed to trade them successfully. I have made a decent amount of money in the last year and look forward to making much more in the future. CB

If you are a novice investor, do not buy ...
If you are a novice investor, do not buy this book. The content is too simplistic for the complexities of trading index futures.

Great mentor
I really enjoyed the book. I'm going to put everything he taught me into a demo account first then I'm going live in 90 days.

Very Basic with questionable claims and results.
This is a very basic book with some questionable math. In the introduction he claims you can easily make 150% a year from E-Minis. But then later in chapter 7 he says you should have $10,000 - $15,000 in your account to trade one contract which, and I quote, "should enable you to net, on average, $40,000 in twelve months, trading part-time". So $10,000 into $40,000 in one year. Isn't that 300%? Maybe I'm doing the math wrong, I dunno :)It is a good basic introduction to the e-minis but the 3 techniques seem very, very basic involving techniques such as moving averages, reading candlesticks and what looks like a simple mean reversion strategy. All very basic and really if that could make you 150% (or 300%) a year then every hedge fund in the world would be all over these techniques :)I havent started trading with any of this yet - I dont think the book really gives me the knowledge or skill level to actually jump into the market. I need to do a lot more reading and then test the 3 systems. If I make any money I will come back and edit this review.
