Excellent Budget Friendly Mask
I've bought 3 of these. Not because they fall apart, but because they are that good and I have them at different locations. They are comfortable, east to adjust and the field of view is excellent. I like the black color personally. The lens is adjustable to the level of protection you want. The head band is easy to use, adjusts quickly. The design is not obtrusive, it never feels in the way. Nothing I don't like about this mask at all, plus the price is great!

Function and quality better than expected
I've just spent several hours on each of the last two days under this helmet. Given the low cost, I expected to get a welding helmet that was adequate but not great. I have to say this inexpensive helmet is a good deal better than the Hobart branded helmet it replaced! I'm quite happy with it and can recommend it to for anyone (like me!) who welds only occasionally. It might not be the best choice for a pro who welds every day, but it would make good back-up even that sort of user. I recommend it.

Flimsy yet Effective
Welding student at 7 months. Just welded with it today for 4 hours. Came out of the box mishapen but did not affect wearability; the plastic is extremely light and flexible, leading to easy potential breakage and cheap adjustments. However, due to the light weight and supportive headgear, even on my sensitive head I don't struggle with pain and the helmet falling off compared to my lincoln. The padding is coming loose but hey, a little DIY from Dollar Tree, and voila! When it comes to viewing, I see better, the colors are amazing, and doesn't feel like I'm wearing sunglasses. I might increase the delay time to see if it'll solve my issue with after-welding when the metal is still bright. We'll see how long it holds out!

Great optics!
I don't know about durability or longevity.... However, the quality of the lens electronics and LCD are fabulous. The hood material is very thin and flexible but it doesn't need to be thicker to do its job and weight is the enemy for something hanging off your face. It's very light and comfortable. The weight is distributed well over the harness. I flipped it up and actually forgot I had it on for a few minutes. But, the lens shading and image is great. I've been wearing a much older Hobart auto lens for ~15 years(?) At the first arc, I honestly panicked a bit. To me it seemed like the lens didn't darken! At least for a few seconds until I realized. Cool! The arc is blue, the puddle is red, the back of my glove is mustard yellow, and I can see the edge of the plate to keep the weld running straight. Maybe all of them are like this now, but I'm astounded by the clarity. Before I could see a bright blob (the arc), a smaller less bright blob (the puddle), and nothing at all outside half an inch of the light from the arc. Turning it down only overwhelmed with glare and turning it up just made the bright blobs dimmer. It was welding by feel really. I'm a few hours of use in now, and it's great. Hopefully it continues to work and nothing breaks. The best $45 I've spent since I started welding. Being able to see makes welding easy.

Good welding helmet
Purchased this helmet so I had a spare on hand. Ended up using it more and more. Certainly cant complain for the price.

Top notch shield.
I thought I would never weld again because I was using junk helmet. Always use battery powered welding helmet. self powered shields are too slow. Arc flash will blind you.

Very clear view, even when welding
I've use helmet several times and I love it, the view is green but who cares as long as you can see clear what you're doing, is very useful when you're starting a weld because you can see where you are positioning the stick, without it I always move and I started in the wrong place, so to me it has been an amazing experience.

Indifferent
Overall, I'm indifferent to this helmet. My previous helmet was not an auto darken, so on that regard, this helmet is a major step up. My old helmet would constantly say down when I wanted it to stay up. This helmet is barely better. It also says down, even with the tension screws tightened to the max.Auto darken feature functions perfectly. The fit is wonderful. The stay up feature needs a little better engineering, or mine had a problem QC didn't catch. 4/5 stars.
